Birth is one of the most intimate moments a family will ever experience.

When I enter your birth space, I don't come to direct your story or change the atmosphere you've intentionally created. I come to quietly preserve it.
You won't need to wonder whether I'm getting the shot and you won't feel a camera interrupting the atmosphere you've carefully created.
Most of the time, you'll forget I'm even there. Instead, you'll find me observing, anticipating, and documenting the moments that often go unseen— the reassuring squeeze of a hand, whispered prayers, tears that quietly fall, and the very first time your baby is placed in your arms.
My hope is that years from now, these photographs won't simply remind you what your birth looked like.
They'll remind you how it felt.

Whether you're birthing at home, in a birth center, or at the hospital, I quietly document your story as it unfolds. My focus isn't directing moments— it's preserving them with honesty, reverence, and care while honoring your birth team and the atmosphere you've created.

Do you photograph hospital, home, and birth center births?
Absolutely. I photograph births in hospitals, birth centers, and homes throughout Sarasota, Venice, Nokomis, and the surrounding areas. Having personally experienced both hospital and home births, I understand the unique rhythm of each environment and work respectfully alongside OBs, midwives, nurses, doulas, and birth teams.
When should we book?
Because I accept a limited number of births each month, I recommend reserving your due date as early as possible—ideally during your second trimester. This helps ensure I'm available and allows us plenty of time to prepare for your birth together.
What if my birth doesn't go according to plan?
Birth is beautifully unpredictable, and every story deserves to be remembered with compassion and honesty. Whether your labor is unmedicated, includes an epidural, becomes a cesarean birth, or takes an unexpected turn, my commitment remains the same: to preserve your story with care, respect, and reverence.
How do I reserve my due date?
Your due date is officially reserved with a signed agreement and retainer. Beginning at 38 weeks, I'll remain on call for your birth until your baby arrives.
What happens if another client goes into labor at the same time?
I intentionally accept only a limited number of births each month so I can remain fully available for every family I serve. In the rare event that two births occur simultaneously, I have a trusted backup photographer whose documentary approach closely aligns with my own. If a backup photographer is ever needed, you'll always be informed and your birth story will remain in caring, capable hands.
When should I contact you once labor begins?
I'll provide detailed communication guidelines before your due date, but in general, I encourage families to notify me when labor begins and again when active labor is established. We'll stay in close communication so I can arrive at the right time without adding unnecessary stress to your birth experience.
